Jordan Cyrus - 2004 Boys and 2008 Boys

DAA is pleased to announce that Jordan Cyrus will be leading our 2004 Boys and 2008 Boys for the Fall 2016/2017 season.  Jordan also serves as the Technical Director for DAA Travel Soccer.

Background:

Described as a "tremendous leader both on and off the field" by legendary University of Maryland coach Sasho Cirovski, Jordan was a standout collegiate defender for the Terps. After spending time with MLS Vancouver Whitecaps, Jordan returned to College Park to join the coaching staff where he continues to grow in the coaching ranks.

"Jordan's ability and demeanor on the field make him one of the best young collegiate coaches around. Having a collegiate coach as technical director of the club is a huge early success over our rivals and I know our players will reap the benefits of his guidance both as individuals and teams over the coming years."

Steven Macdonald - 2001 Girls, 2000/01 Boys, and 2007 Boys

DAA is pleased to announce that Steven MacDonald will be leading our 2001 Girls and 2000/01 Boys for the Fall 2016/2017 season. 

Background:

Coach Steven is the regional director for UK Elite. He is vastly experienced in youth development and was recently the Head Coach of Seton Keogh HS girl’s program.

teams he works with.

John Steele - 2007 Boys

DAA is pleased to announce that John Steele will be leading our 2007 Boys for the Fall 2016/2017 season. 

Background:

Coach Steele played collegiate soccer at Towson University where he would go on to join the coaching staff before moving on to SUNY Maritime as an assistant coach. John has since joined UK Elite to continue his work in youth soccer.

The Director's (Jamie Darvill) Take:

“John is just the kind of coach we are looking to attract here at DAA. He has played and coached in college and is heavily involved in youth soccer. He has experienced everything we hope our players can and this is invaluable to our club. I am delighted to have him.”

Bob Gleeson (2001/02 Girls)

Background:

Bob has been coaching locally for 12 years and continues to build great teams on the principles of good technique and development.

The Director's Take:

"Bob is a great asset to our program. He has worked tirelessly within our program to develop great players and teams. His great work is demonstrated by the progress of his current Dynamite team who are fighting for a state cup title"

Charlie Raphael - Head Coach 2003 and 2002 Boys

DAA is pleased to announce that Charlie Raphael will be leading our 2003 and 2002 Boys Teams for the Fall 2016/2017 season.  

Background:

Coach Charlie is a former U.S national team player and the current head coach of Huntingtown HS and brings a tremendous amount of soccer training experience to the club. He played collegiate soccer at George Mason in an era where they were one of the nations best teams.

“Charlie understands how to coach elite soccer within his teams. To have a former national team player at the club is a huge asset to our players and I look forward to his players continuing to grow as a result of his vast knowledge and experience.”
