Welcome to Adaptive Lacrosse

Davidsonville Athletic Association (DAA) is pleased to sponsor ADLax, an adaptive lacrosse program for athletes with disabilities, ages 6 & up. The goal of our program is to give athletes with physical and intellectual disabilities a true lacrosse experience. Equipment and/or rules may be modified as necessary to meet each individual athlete’s needs. Coaches will emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship,and skills development.


Registration is open for Fall 2017.  Click here to register a player or a volunteer. The $20.00 sport fee includes shirt, lacrosse stick and loaned equipment.  Scholarships are available for players who are not able to pay the sport fee. Please email adaptivelax@gmail.com for information.

Season format

The 2017 season begins September 8 and ends on October 27, and includes Friday evening practices/unified scrimmages with area high schools.  Additional events are included in the schedule below and may change as dates and times are finalized (please check the schedule regularly and stay tuned for confirmation of our event with the USNA men's lacrosse team!).  All practices will be on Fridays from 6:00-7:00 at Davidsonville Park (NOTE new time!). Please see the field and gym directory on the home page of this website for location and directions.

2017 Schedule

September 8:  first practice/scrimmage 6:00-7:00 DAA Park

September 9 (optional, for players under 21):  HSC Adaptive Adventure Day, Trinity University, Washington, DC.  A variety of sports clinics (DAA ADlax sponsoring the lacrosse clinic) for youth with illness and/or disabilities.  VOLUNTEERS ARE ALSO NEEDED!  Please email adaptivelax@gmail.com if interested in volunteering.  See http://www.hschealth.org/adaptive-adventure-day for more information!  

September 15: practice/scrimmage 6:00-7:00 DAA Park

September 16 (Saturday) *NEW INFO BELOW: tournament/clinic, DAA, Parkville, HoCo, 1:00-3:00pm at Bill Tierney field (US Lacrosse Headquarters), 2 Loveton Circle, Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152. No cleats are allowed on the turf.  Please wear your red ADLax tees and bring lots of water!  Parking - athletes with wheelchairs can park in the accessible spots and go into the museum first (take elevator down to the field).  All can park in the Medstar Health spots. Meet inside the building before going onto the field.

In the case of inclement weather, practice cancellation emails will be sent by 3pm.   Make sure you're registered so you'll be on the email list! 


Volunteers of all ages are always welcome! Enthusiasm is the only requirement. High school volunteers are welcomed and can earn community service hours!  All volunteers must register on the DAA website in order to be placed on the email distribution list and receive verification of community service hours.
