All players and at least one parent should plan to attend. The commissioner will give a brief overview of the season and answer questions. Players should come ready to play- Tee shirts, shorts or spandex, tennis shoes, and water.
Purpose: team assignments, jersey fitting, meet the coaches, ask questions, play volleyball
*If you cannot attend then you will have to "guesstimate" the players jersey size and get it to Lisa Kamm by Tuesday 8/21. We are on a short turnaround time for uniforms and our order must be placed on 8/21. Players cannot play without a team jersey.

DAA offers Volleyball to Girls and Boys in the following age groups: 10U, 12U and 14U.
10U is for ages 9 and 10 (4 & 5 grades)
12U is for ages 11 and 12 (6 & 7 grades)
14U is for ages 13 and 14 (8 & 9 grades)
DAA has gone to a single vendor supplying Under Armour uniforms. All players will be required to wear the new jerseys. The jersey is covered under the registration fee. Shorts or spandex are not covered and players will have to get their own. All shorts or spandex must be BLACK.
We are in need of at least one more head coach. If you are interested, or know someone that is, please let Coach Chuck know. If you want to learn the game and want to give coaching a try then this is a great place to start.

We have applied for gym permits at South River HS and Davidsonville ES. Each team will practice twice per week, either Mon/Wed, or Tues/Thur.
Once permits are finalized a practice schedule will be posted.
We are planning on starting practices beginning Monday August 27.
Practices do not occur if schools are closed or a night school activity at the gym scheduled for your practice. The dates are as follows:
September 3: Labor Day
September 19: Yom Kippur (school is open on Rosh Hashanah)
October 9: Parent/Teacher Conferences
October 20: MSEA Convention

Rule of Thumb: If schools are closed due to scheduled and unforeseen events, there is no practice.
The first matches are scheduled for Sunday September 15.
All matches are played at local public schools on Sundays. A complete schedule should be available in early September.
