Registration Details

 

Registration for the Fall 2025 DAA Field Hockey season opens May 1, 2025 and closes July 26, 2025.

 

Registration Fees

Fees cover the cost of uniforms, equipment, field maintenance, turf time, and referees.

Uniforms

Uniforms are provided by DAA at no charge.
Note: A refundable deposit will be required. Uniforms must be returned clean and undamaged at the end of the season to receive the deposit back.

Required Equipment

All players must have:

• Regulation field hockey stick

• Shin guards

• Colored mouth guard

---

Age Divisions & Game Format

Sticklettes (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade)

• Games: 6v6 (no goalie), condensed field, two referees

• Focus: Introductory skills, teamwork, fun

• 2 practices/week; days set by coach & Commissioner

• Home fields: South River HS Turf, DAA Park, or Bell Branch

• Weekend games (occasional Sat & Sun)

Pee-Wees (3rd & 4th Grade)

• Games: 7v7 (including goalie), condensed field

• Paid referees

• Skill-building focus continues with game knowledge

• 2 practices/week

• Home & away games on county turf fields

• Weekend games (some Sat & Sun)

Middies (5th & 6th Grade)

• Games: 11v11 (full field), with goalie

• Paid referees, timekeeper/scorekeeper (home games)

• Strategy introduced alongside skill development

• 2 practices/week at coach’s discretion

• County-wide turf field games

Juniors (7th & 8th Grade)

• Games: 11v11 (full field), with goalie

• Paid referees, timekeeper/scorekeeper (home games)

• Competitive gameplay and continued development

• 2 practices/week

• Games held on turf fields across the county

Practice & Game Locations

All teams will play games on various turf fields throughout Anne Arundel County.
Practices are held twice a week at the following locations:

• Davidsonville Park

• South River High School Turf

• Bell Branch Turf

Once registration is complete and teams are formed, your coach will contact you with your practice schedule.

Volunteers Needed!

DAA Field Hockey is a volunteer-driven program, and we need your help! We are looking for coaches and assistant coaches at every level for Fall 2025.

• No experience? No problem! We pair new coaches with experienced ones.
