Volleyball
Registration
$70; Registration is open until September 1, 2012; go to DAA Home Page (Registration and Payments in left-hand menu)
Uniform The DAA VB Gator uniform consists of the  numbered shirt and  shorts or DAA VB spandex shorts. You must have a shirt, and shorts or spandex. If you played last year, you do not have to order a shirt or shorts/spandex.
Age Groups
DAA offers Volleyball to Girls and Boys in the following age groups: 10U, 12U and 14U.
10U is for ages 9 and 10 (4 & 5 grades)
12U is for ages 11 and 12 (6 & 7 grades)
14U is for ages 13 and 14 (8 & 9 grades)
Coach's Corner
The coaches are as follows:
Regina Ball has stepped up to be the Uniform Coordinator. She will coordinate with the respective Team Managers to organize and distribute the uniforms to each team.
If you do not like the uniform or the sizes, come on and volunteer to fix it. I am a guy so fashion is not high on my list (coaching comes first).
Practices
Practice starts the week of August 27, 2012 with practices on Monday and Tuesday nights of this week. The practice schedule for all age groups (10U, 12U and 14U) on August 27 and 28 is:
10U: 6:30 - 7:30 PM at SRHS
12U: 6:30 - 8:00 PM at SRHS
14U: 7:30 - 9:00 PM at SRHS
Parent Meeting is August 27 at 7:30 PM at SRHS during the first practice.
Practices do not occur if schools are closed or a school activity at night. The dates of which I know are as follows:
September 3: Labor Day
September 17: Rosh Hashanah
September 26: Yom Kippur
October 19: MSEA Convention
Back-to-School Nights: DES: September 4, CMS: August 30, SRHS: September 6
Fall Concerts: DES: TBD, CMS: TBD, SRHS: TBD
Natural Disasters: If you have any connections, please be forthcoming!! Rule of Thumb: If schools are closed due to these unfortunate and unforeseen events, there is no practice.
Games
Games are Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings (for 14U only). The Sunday games are played at Southern High School and Severna Park High School. The Wednesday games are played at SRHS.
The games are scheduled by the County. When they are completed, you can follow this link: Game Schedules. You should check periodically for any updates.
Games are tentatively scheduled to start the week of September 11, 2012. There is an end-of-the-season tournament for 12U and 14U teams tentatively scheduled for October 27, 2012 with location TBD.
